How are they raised?

Our chickens spend most of their time either free-ranging our homestead or free-ranging in a spacious chicken run where they can eat plenty of bugs.

What do you feed your chickens?

From our Feed Supplier: “All Natural, Non-GMO, Non-SOY feed rations include complex blends of direct fed microbials, seaweed or kelp meal, polysacharide complexes of trace minerals and the highest quality macro minerals available.  We include as many healthful ingredients as we can to support realistic production levels for your animals.  We strive to promote your animals health so they can perform at optimum levels.”

What is the cost? 

• Option #1 – By the Dozen

  If you simply want a dozen eggs here and there, they are $7 each as supply is available. 

• Option #2 – Monthly Subscription

Majority of our customers pay $26 a month and they receive one dozen a week all year.

How does the subscription work? 

You swing by The Withywindle on Monday after 9am anytime and grab your dozen eggs.  You get billed once a month through an emailed invoice and you leave payment in the black box anytime during the month.   We prefer cash or check. 

Can I do multiple dozens a week?

Yes, assuming we have the availability.  You would just multiply the number by $26 a month. 

What about the months when it’s cold and chickens lay fewer eggs?

We give preference to our subscribers over random purchases, however sometimes during the winter we have to ask our subscribers to skip a week every once and a while in order to accommodate the reduced egg production of our flock.  In those cases, we credit your invoice $6 for any of those missed weeks. 

What if I need to skip a week for vacation or other reasons? 

We ask that you just give us a heads up and tell us whether you want the dozen a week ahead or the week after.

Is there any cancelation fee?

Nope.
